Vacuum Garment Steamer & Iron

Product Details

The Frolary VS-401 is a handheld vacuum steamer for clothes, designed for fast, one-handed wrinkle care. Its suction system holds fabric against the heated metal plate while steam relaxes the fibers, helping you smooth hanging clothes without constantly pulling the garment taut. With 3500Pa rated suction (up to 3800Pa maximum), a 25–30-second heat-up time, 20g/min continuous steam and two removable water tanks, it is built for everyday use at home and compact packing for travel.

  • 3 garment-care modes: steam + suction, dry suction, and dry ironing
  • Fast start: ready in approximately 25–30 seconds
  • Controlled fabric grip: 3500Pa rated suction, up to 3800Pa maximum
  • Continuous steam: 20g/min at 100–130°C (212–266°F)
  • Two tank sizes: 340ml for home use and 130ml for travel

What Is a Vacuum Garment Steamer?

A vacuum garment steamer combines steam with suction. For shoppers comparing a vacuum steamer for clothes with a standard model, the key difference is controlled fabric tension: the VS-401 draws the garment toward its plate while you move the steamer. This makes vertical steaming easier to control around hems, collars and seams and allows true one-handed garment care without an ironing board for most everyday touch-ups.

The airflow also helps draw away excess moisture after steam passes through the fabric. Results vary by material and wrinkle depth, but the goal is a smoother garment that can be worn sooner than one treated with a conventional handheld steamer alone.

How the 3-in-1 Garment-Care Modes Work

Mode How it works Best for
Steam + Suction Uses continuous steam while suction holds the fabric close to the plate. Everyday wrinkle removal on hanging shirts, dresses, pants and similar garments.
Dry Suction Grips and shapes the garment with airflow without adding steam. Collars, edges and garments that need controlled positioning with less moisture.
Dry Ironing Uses the heated metal plate without steam or suction. Horizontal touch-ups, cuffs, pleats and sharper creases on a suitable heat-safe surface.

Three modes on the Frolary VS-401: steam and suction, dry suction, and dry ironing

Fast Heat-Up and a Full Metal Plate

The 1200W US model heats in approximately 25–30 seconds, so it is ready for quick morning touch-ups. The large metal plate spreads heat across a broader contact area than a small steam head, while the dual air-vent design supports the vacuum airflow. Together, the heated plate, steam and suction are designed to reduce repeated passes while giving you better control of the fabric.

Two Water Tanks for Home and Travel

Choose the tank that fits the job. The 340ml tank has a flat base that lets the steamer stand upright between uses on a stable, heat-safe surface. For use as a travel garment steamer, the smaller 130ml tank reduces bulk for business trips and short touch-ups and provides approximately seven minutes of use under the stated test conditions. The included silicone rest bracket gives the hot appliance a dedicated place to rest when the compact tank is attached.

Built-In Dust and Hair Collection

Vacuum airflow can pick up loose lint and hair from the garment surface. The VS-401 includes a removable collection bin designed to catch this debris before it travels farther into the airflow path. Empty and clean the bin regularly to help maintain consistent suction, especially when steaming pet owners’ clothing, wool garments or fabrics that shed lint.

Smart Display and Heat Protection

The digital display shows the selected operating mode and current status at a glance. Built-in temperature control, anti-overheating protection and anti-leakage protection support safer everyday use. Always follow the garment care label, test delicate or unfamiliar fabrics in an inconspicuous area first, and place the appliance on its supplied bracket or a stable heat-safe surface when pausing.

FAQ

What is a vacuum garment steamer?

A vacuum garment steamer combines steam with controlled suction. The suction holds fabric against the heated plate while steam relaxes the fibers, making hanging garments easier to smooth with one hand.

How is the VS-401 different from a traditional garment steamer?

A traditional handheld steamer releases steam onto loose fabric. The VS-401 adds 3500Pa rated suction (up to 3800Pa maximum) to create fabric tension, improve control around hems and seams, and help draw away excess moisture after steaming. It also includes dry suction and dry ironing modes.

Can I use the VS-401 with one hand?

Yes. The suction system holds a hanging garment against the plate, so you normally do not need to pull the fabric taut with your free hand. Keep hands away from the hot plate and steam outlet during operation.

Which fabrics can I use it on?

The VS-401 is designed for common wardrobe fabrics including cotton, linen, polyester, denim, silk and wool. Always check the garment care label and test delicate fabrics or special finishes in an inconspicuous area first.

Which water tank should I use?

Use the 340ml upright tank for larger garment-care sessions at home. Choose the lighter 130ml tank for short touch-ups and travel; it provides approximately seven minutes of use under the stated test conditions.

How do I maintain the dust and hair collection bin?

Switch off and unplug the appliance, allow it to cool completely, then remove and empty the collection bin. Keeping the bin and airflow openings clear helps maintain consistent suction. Follow the user manual for water care and descaling.

Practical and versatile steamer for clothes

his steamer is both practical and surprisingly versatile. It heats up quickly and comes with two water reservoirs—a standard high‑capacity tank and a compact travel-size one that’s easy to pack for trips. My wife tested it on several garments and was impressed by how well the vacuum‑assisted suction holds the fabric in place while the steam smooths out wrinkles. The device offers three useful modes: Steam + Suction, Dry Suction, and Dry Ironing, making it adaptable for different fabrics and situations. It also includes a removable attachment for lint and pet hair, which adds even more convenience. If I could change one thing, it would be the addition of adjustable heat settings for more precise temperature control. Even so, the steamer performs well and feels thoughtfully designed. It also comes with a rest stand, which is a nice touch.Overall, it’s a practical, fast‑heating, and easy‑to‑use steamer. My wife likes it, and I’ll be using it on all my shirts and pants. Recommended.Reviewed by Handyman & Wife

My New Go-To for Wrinkles — Even Got Deep Dryer Wrinkles Out of Jeans!!!!!

I am seriously impressed with this garment steamer. After using it on several different types of clothing, I can already see this replacing my traditional iron for most things. Who has room to drag out and store an ironing board anymore? This is so much more convenient, and the steaming performance has been excellent. The first thing I tested it on was a pair of jeans for my 7-year-old. These weren't jeans with just a few light wrinkles either. I'm talking about those awful, deep wrinkles jeans get when they've been sitting in the dryer for way too long—the kind that almost look like they've permanently become part of the denim. I honestly wasn't sure how well a handheld steamer would handle wrinkles that severe.I hung my son's jeans from the towel hanger in the bathroom and went over them with the steamer. It got those wrinkles right out! I was extremely impressed considering how deeply set some of them were. It was so much easier than getting out an ironing board and trying to maneuver a small pair of jeans around on it.I also tried this on my silk pajama set, and the wrinkles came out almost immediately. I really like having something that I can use on different types of clothing instead of automatically reaching for an iron. There was a little bit of a learning curve in the beginning. I found the instructions slightly confusing, and I couldn't get the ironing feature to work. There is some small print in the instructions mentioning holding down the buttons for around seven seconds along with some additional operating details. Once I paid closer attention to those instructions, I was able to get the steamer working without a problem. I still haven't figured out the ironing feature, but honestly, the steaming function works so well that I'm already very happy with the device.Filling it with water was easy. The water reservoir was simple to fill and snapped onto the handheld unit without giving me any trouble. I like that the design feels much more convenient than having to constantly refill a tiny built-in reservoir.Another feature I'm especially excited about is the detachable upper collection area. I wear scrub pants frequently, and mine sometimes come out of the dryer covered in those annoying little cotton or towel fibers that cling to the legs, especially if they've been dried with towels. Sometimes even a lint roller doesn't want to remove all of them, and I end up picking them off individually. I love that this has a built-in lint/debris collection feature and that the compartment can be detached for cleaning. I'm really looking forward to using it on my scrub pants for that reason alone. One thing I do want to emphasize is how HOT this unit stays after use. Please give it plenty of time to cool completely before putting it away. After unplugging mine, I was getting ready to put it back into the nice soft velvet storage bag that comes with it. As soon as I felt the sides, I immediately thought, absolutely not—this needs to sit out and cool.I checked it again approximately 15 minutes later, and it was still very hot. Based on my experience, I would personally allow at least 30–45 minutes for it to cool before attempting to put it into the storage bag. I would also be very careful about where you set it while it's cooling and definitely keep it somewhere that small children cannot reach it. The storage bag is a really nice, soft, thoughtful addition, but the steamer needs to be completely cool before going back inside.Aside from not being able to figure out the ironing feature and finding portions of the instructions a little confusing, I could not be happier with how this performs as a garment steamer. The fact that it tackled those deeply set dryer wrinkles in my son's jeans and then quickly smoothed my silk pajamas really sold me on it.It's convenient, easy to fill, powerful enough for some seriously wrinkled clothing, and has useful features beyond simply producing steam. I especially appreciate the removable debris collection area and the included storage bag.For me, this has basically replaced the need to pull out an iron and ironing board. It's quicker, takes up less space, and actually makes getting wrinkles out of clothes something I don't dread doing. This is officially my new go-to for getting clothes looking smooth and presentable again!!
